I'm Meghan, I am the founder and Principal Designer behind Life by Design. I'm an Interior Designer, Artist and shameless DIY'er on a budget.

I want to show you how to reuse and repurpose the items you already have to transform your home into a space that looks polished and put together.

I have a strong background in Event Management and studied Fine Art and Interior Design at Virginia Commonwealth University.

I understand how hard it can be to plan for and design your home. My husband is in the navy so we move a LOT so I have a lot of experience setting up a home, including my own.

{ABOUT ME}

I guess you could say design is in my blood. My Father is a contractor and he built my childhood home. So, I grew up reading floor plans and visiting my Dad on construction sites. I love to host wine tasting nights and dinner parties. Starting at an early age, my Mother taught me how to entertain. She instilled in me the importance of planning for company and taught me how to set a proper dinner table.

I want to help other women create beautiful Interior spaces that are the perfect backdrop for their life.

After getting engaged I moved to Norfolk, Virginia where my husband already owned a house. We wanted a fresh start in our new home together so we had the entire house painted. More on that on the blog.
